Tampa Bay Area Residents are Invited to Help Plan Our Future Water Supply
The 2007 Update to the Tampa Bay Water Long-Term Water Supply Plan is underway. The Plan Update began with six public workshops that were held around the Tampa Bay area in the month of April. To encourage participation from around the region, meetings were held in each of Tampa Bay Water’s six member government jurisdictions – Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties and the cities of New Port Richey, St. Petersburg, and Tampa.

The workshops were set up to include an interactive public participation and input session. Attendees were asked to:

supply project options. These rankings will be used to help weight which projects
will be considered to meet the region’s drinking water supply needs.
Project Selection Criteria
- Review a comprehensive list of project ideas and offer input on projects on the list or
suggest additional project ideas for study and evaluation.
Comprehensive Project List
- Identify and weight key source water protection activities for local government and
