Future Water Supply Planning Process

Water supply projects take years from the time they are conceived until the time they provide drinking water.  Because the process takes so long, it is important to plan well in advance for future water needs.

Tampa Bay Water’s Long-Term Water Supply Plan is updated every five years to identify potential water supply projects to meet the ever-increasing water demand of the region.  Through a public participation process, including workshops and this website, Tampa Bay area residents are asked to rate the importance of the screening criteria that Tampa Bay Water uses to help select future water supply projects.  Residents are also asked to add any unique ideas they might have to a comprehensive list of potential water supply projects.
