Tampa Bay Water is the wholesale drinking water supplier to its member governments, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties and the cities of St. Petersburg, New Port Richey, and Tampa. In turn, these Member Governments provide this drinking water to more than 2.5 million people in the tri-county region. Tampa Bay Water’s Master Water Plan must be updated every five years to meet the projected needs of the Member Governments for the next 20 years. To accomplish this objective, Tampa Bay Water must continually identify, plan, permit, design and construct environmentally sound and sustainable water supply projects.
Tampa Bay Water updated its Long-Term Water Supply Plan
and its Master Water Plan in December 2008. The Master Water Plan
contains (7) seven projects that wull be studied further in 2009-2013. This website describes the various aspects of the planning process and provides
information related to the Plan. Tampa Bay Water encourages public comment on the Long-Term Water Supply Plan Update. Click the “Contact Us” link at left to provide your comments.
